Brianna walked in, feeling gloomy. She knew she wasn't going to fit in at this camp -- she never fit into any of the stupid schools her mother sent her. When she had been claimed by Horus, she had felt a tinge of pride. Now, it was gone and Brianna had nothing to cheer herself up with. She examined her bunk but didn't sit on it. Why did she have to be so... aloof? Even Thoth -- that old nut, Brianna had called him, when she had learned Egyptian mythology -- seemed to be a better parent. No, she didn't want to be a nerd. She took out her knife and ran her fingers around the wickedly sharp blade. After a few minutes, she strapped it to her belt and left.
